The site at 18-22 Clyde St previously contained two single fronted cottages and a traditional cottage and was suitable housing for 3 small families. Through the process of urban infill, the site has a more diverse usage. On the site there is now a one-bedroom dwelling, a two-bedroom dwelling, a four-bedroom dwelling, a one-bedroom studio and a two-bedroom apartment.

In addition to this the site also contains a small bakery and associated retail and sitting spaces on the street facing aspect. The site now also has redeveloped on street parking which has resulted in a greater gain in green area for the street, the parking has been designed such that it can be reconfigured to suit future needs as they change.

Each dwelling opens up to landscaped courtyards in addition to a generous shared garden including active garden, outdoor dining and lawned areas. The use of the spatial operations has delivered a site that now functions with greater efficiency and is able to house a larger and more diverse population without sacrificing the quality of the spaces.
